Our Story

Jordan Spirits is a unique artisanal beverage company in the Valley of Springs, Israel that specializes in the creation of premium alcohol beverages from Medjool Dates.

The Valley of Springs is a strategic geographical location for growing dates. Along the entire stretch of the Jordan River Valley – from the Sea of Galilee in the north to the Dead Sea in the south – is the world’s cradle of date cultivation.

Dates play an important role in the environment in which we live and in the local culture and tradition. This has been the case for thousands of years and remains so today. 

Dates are collected by farmers and sorted according to various aesthetic standards such as size, shape, and skin texture. Those that are not “pretty enough” to be exported or sold in stores are transported to us at the ZOARA distillery – turning one industry’s waste into another industry’s quality raw material.
